Make Up For It

Avi shot her client a dead-eyed glare across the coffee rings on her desk. Two weeks of phone tag and broken promises—ugh. The blisters on her toes had quit screaming hours ago, but the ache still pulsed up her legs. She kicked those six-inch torture sticks clear across the room, flexed her red-swollen feet, and slapped them on his lap.
“You want me to keep booking you? Then get to it. Tongue, not fingers. Both feet. Every inch. And don’t act like it’s a favor.”
He leaned in like he was inspecting a priceless relic. She spread her toes, stifled a grin, and pushed one heel against his lips.
“Suck,” she said, playful but serious. He did. Slickened, she wriggled the sole higher so his nose brushed between the ball of her foot and the arch. Warm breath, hot tongue—he lapped at skin still sticky from leather and hours of sweat. She exhaled, rolled her shoulders, let the tension leak out through the bottom of her soles.
The second foot waited. She lifted it, planted it over his mouth, wiggled until her pinky toe dipped between his lips. He swirled his tongue around the callous she got walking between auditions and lunch with douchey producers. Each long pull, each flick, coaxed another knot loose from her calves. She sighed, closed her eyes, felt ridiculous pleasure ping straight up from instep to temple.
“Keep your eyes open,” she teased. “If you miss a spot, you’re gonna blow that desert gig on Thursday.”
Her heel dragged across his cheek, cool spit glistening. She ground the sweaty arch against his tongue in slow circles, felt it dip and slide, slick heat licking raw patches the heels had left. A gasp slipped out—she hated how much this undid her, but whatever worked. One foot clean, two foot clean, every webbing and ridge shining and slick. Her shoulders slumped. The storm clouds in her head started to float away.
She let a smirk curl at one corner of her mouth, wagged the cleaner foot, toes spread wide.
“Good job, champ. Next time show up on time or these feet go someplace else for worship. Your call.”
