Romancing Remotely

Jayden Cole greets the IT tech at her front door and sees Victoria Voxxx swallow hard. Jayden's wearing a ratty tee and nothing else; her working-from-home fit puts the old pencil skirt to shame. "Sorry you had to schlep out here," Jayden says. Victoria shrugs and mutters that it's no trouble, cheeks still pink. They pad down the hall. The bedroom doubles as an office these days—same old desk, new view of the unmade bed. Victoria kneels, slots a USB stick in, and starts clicking. Jayden leans against the headboard, legs tucked, eyes wandering over Victoria's neckline every time her ponytail swings. Bingo. Fix complete. Victoria stands, USB slips, and they both lunge. Fingers graze. Heartbeats hiccup. "Um, you don't have to rush off," Jayden blurts. Victoria's half-smile widens. "Been missing these hallway run-ins, huh?" They laugh once, soft, then stop laughing altogether. Lips meet. Clothes puddle. For a while the only keys clacking are the little catches in their throats as hands explore warm skin and soft gasps. It's sweet, slow, giggly sex—the sort that says two people finally got to finish what emails never could.
