Hard Stop

Erin figures out her mom Claire’s been sneaking around with Darren. She slaps together a quick plan: ship Claire off to the Hard Stop sex-addiction retreat, seven whole days of nothing but group therapy and cold turkey. Claire shows up bitter, already rolling her eyes at the forced circle time. The other women—Vanessa, Jasmine, Emily, Olivia—sit under the therapist’s gaze and start talking. Emily admits she took two strangers home while her husband watched, Vanessa laughs about riding a student, Jasmine shrugs through the story of four guys at once. Even the detective who showed up for a noise complaint ends up between Emily’s legs. Claire listens and finally cracks. She flashes back to her stepdad teaching her the ropes, the mess that followed, and admits it all out loud. After seven days she’s not magically cured, but she walks out with four new numbers in her phone and a plan to actually use them.
