Abby Cross never pretends she's anything but trouble, and the handcuffs tonight just prove her point. A few bad choices later she stands toe-to-toe with the law, and salvation shows up in the form of a freckled cop who looks like he hasn't smiled in years. "I hand you the crew that actually runs the job," she says, cocky and low, "and you let me disappear. Oh, and you do something for me first." Her bare foot slides up his pant leg until it nudges his thigh. "You get on your knees and taste every inch." The officer blushes, hesitates, then laughs like the universe flipped him the bird. He agrees. Nobody walks away from that offer; it's too good, too weird, and just the right shade of wrong.
