Women's World: Part One

Lisa’s at her wit’s end. The guest list’s a mess, the caterer just quit, and her groom-to-be is MIA. If one more vendor calls her “bridezilla” she might actually live up to the name. Across town Sofia’s throwing a dinner party, smiling through every toast. Deep down her marriage feels like a cage, but nobody else seems to notice. Karen starts lecturing about “traditional roles” and the whole table winces. Tanya tries to pivot to her own disasters in love, yet Karen barrels right over her. Sarah and Jenn trade a quick look and vanish toward the bathroom—clearly hiding more than lipstick. Meanwhile two lovers, Julie and Rebecca, sneak kisses behind locked doors because their families still think “roommates” means rent-splitting. Amanda the hairdresser keeps brushing Tanya’s shoulder a beat too long, praying the straight-girl phase ends. Amber, on the flip side, can’t keep her calendar straight; every night another gorgeous woman, every morning another apology. Lisa wishes—loudly, silently, repeatedly—that somebody, anybody, would just share the load. The next sunrise feels… off. Streets look the same, yet strangers greet her like she already belongs. A casual brush with Morgan, then Alex, then Rose leaves Lisa dizzy; each woman acts as if the world flipped overnight and Lisa missed the memo. Back home a gorgeous stranger is lounging on her couch like she pays the rent. She smiles. The ring on Lisa’s finger suddenly feels lighter—and heavier—all at once.
