Feels Like Old Times

Daisy and Michael call it quits. She sulks for days. One night she swipes past a picture of Jayden, her old fling, and hits him up. He jumps at the idea of a date. Daisy digs through her closet, holds up a few outfits, finally picks the black dress that barely counts as clothing. Jayden shows up holding a bunch of flowers like he knows the drill. They sit down to eat, but the talk falls flat and Jayden starts thumbing his phone. She watches him stare at that screen and the old light bulb clicks on. Words were never their thing. She slides a bare foot between his legs, toes playing under the tablecloth. He drops the phone like it burned him. Daisy slips out of her seat, ducks under the cloth, and tugs at Jayden’s zipper. Her mouth closes warm around him while her hand keeps a steady grip. His knees press against the table legs. When she pulls back to breathe, she kisses the tip, then dives in again, wet sounds mixing with the rustle of fabric. He grabs a handful of her hair. No more small talk needed.
