The Art of the Feet

Artists have always been weak for pretty feet. Sculptors, painters, the whole crowd. Same thing happened to this cameraman the second he spotted Ruth Medina’s bare soles. He begged until she gave in and showed up for the shoot with nothing on but those feet, not a stitch of anything else. Ruth herself did all the heavy lifting. She already looked like the kind of girl who could hold her own camera. She moved slow, playful, let every toe flex and stretch like she owned the frame, turning the simple shot into something more than a study in arches and heels, the whole time letting the lens chase the soft shift of her ankles, the clean line of her sole, the little press of skin where her foot met the floor.
